Interfaith Family Housing Program and Severe-Weather Shelters

Interfaith Family Housing provides emergency and transitional housing to homeless families in Whatcom County. The coalition manages five emergency housing units, where families may live rent-free for 30 to 60 days while in crisis, and four transitional housing units, where families may live for up to two years, paying a subsidized rent while working toward self-sufficiency. Friendly Visitors

Friendly Visitors matches compassionate volunteers with older adults whose health and well-being may improve with meaningful social connection. Volunteers make weekly home visits to seniors, with a telephone contact in between visits. They may engage in activities or shared hobbies, such as listening to music, reading or playing games, or sharing any other interests they hold in common. Volunteers also may help seniors to participate in social activities outside of the home. Read more…

Interfaith Community Health Center is a nonprofit, tax-exempt provider of high-quality, affordable medical, dental, and behavioral-health care. Books, Coats, Holiday Gifts

Every autumn thousands of people in need receive gently used coats to protect them from the winter cold. Coats are donated to our Winter Coat Drive by members of our congregations and distributed through county food banks and school districts. Read more…
