Transportation and Hospitality Coordinator for Interfaith’s Family Promise
Interfaith Coalition of Whatcom County Family Promise Program is hiring for one part-time Transportation and Hospitality (T&H) Coordinator. We are looking for a driver with an excellent safety record and who also enjoys connecting with people. The T&H Coordinator transports Family Promise guests from the overnight host congregation in the morning, opens the day center and oversees the day center until 9:00 am five days a week and on Sunday mornings. The T&H Coordinator will take time to get to know guests and congregational volunteers and provide updates to and from Family Promise staff. On Sundays, driving duties will include hooking up and towing a 12-foot trailer and transporting beds between host congregations. The T&H Coordinator will work with the Family Promise to develop and oversee a volunteer van driver program, with an emphasis on preventative maintenance and safety and coordinating for volunteer drivers at times. Interfaith Coalition has a 14-passenger van and 12-foot trailer, which are insured. The position(s) is up to 20 hours per week. Pay is hourly, $14-15, DOE. The T&H Coordinator would report to the Family Promise Director and will coordinate with the Case Manager/Day Center Coordinator.
